how replace power steering oil of my Honda Accord?
if you want to drain and refill it then you take off the low pressure hose at the reservoir. The reservoir is the white plastic bottle at the driver’s side front of the engine that has a red cap on top of it. If you just want to add fluid you take off the red cap and pour some in. Honda does make its own power steering fluid and I recommend using that.
if you’re cnangine the fluid entirely, put a pan under the reservoir and disconnect the low pressure hose. then I would put the hose into a 2 liter soda bottle or similar and hold the bottle and the hose. have someone start the engine and run it for about 10 seconds. the pump should push the old fluid out and back to the bottle. don’t run the pump for longer than 10 seconds without fluid.
you can then reconnect the hose to the reservoir and refill it with new fluid. be sure to bleed the air out of the system by running the engine and turning the steering wheel fully in one direction, hold it at the stop, then turn the steering wheel fully in the opposite direction and hold it. do that 2 or three times to purge any air from the system.
