help with engine coil!……..?
Can the outside “box” of an e-core engine coil be removed? Or does it have something to do with the magnetic field inside?
I am asking this because the coil wire won’t reach the fender where it is suppose to be mounted. And if i were able to take the outer case off my new coil, it could probably fit inside the old bracket on the car from the stock cylinder style coil.
And no, I don’t want to replace the coil wire with another one. There are a nice set of wires. (unless a local part store can sell just one high performance wire.)

you can try taking it out,seems from the picture that the outside case is to help keep the coil cool,shouldn’t really affect performance of coil unless your doing some serious long term driving
