A plastic cap dropped down the skimmer basket pipe in our inground pool?
A plastic cap dropped down the inlet pipe in our inground pool
It was a cap that looked like the endcap for the skimmer basket pipe, but it turned out to be a smaller cap and got sucked right down the pipe.
We’ve tried using a Drain King. Sometimes we could get strong water flow, sometimes there would be no water flow.
We’ve tried using a pipe snake, but can’t seem to hit the cap.
We figure the cap must be causing a problem because if we set the valves to all-skimmer, no floor drain, then the water level in the pump goes down quickly.
The pool companies have told us that the pool can operate just fine without the skimmers working, but we’d like to have the pool as clean as possible. Anybody have any other suggestions?
I am thinking it made it way into a pump or some device of this nature – sounds like a disassemble to remove object to me.
